Wow, an Update

I just wanted to write something to indicate that I’m still alive. I just don’t have that much to blog about because … someone else is already blogging about it! I don’t want to regurgitate info over and over and over.

I’ve also given up on RSS feeds because I have my own live (human) versions (at both work and home) that pepper me with interesting information so I never even have to read the internet-tubes anymore. I love it! Let’s not forget the lost art of conversation in this day and age.

Back!

I’m back from the family trip to the Far East, Japan and Taiwan.  After visiting both countries, suddenly my parents make a lot more sense. :)  Anyway, it was a fun trip but I’m also glad to be back!!  I’ll be going through my pictures and putting them up soon.  My memory card wasn’t as big as I thought it would be…

Oh Yeah — I’ve Moved

I haven’t been doing a good job of keeping in touch lately, but I just wanted to say I did move to Charlottesville, VA.  I’m still working for Booz Allen Hamilton, but now I’m supporting NGIC. It sounds a lot cooler than it actually is.

Charlottesville has been ok so far, and the weather has been really nice.  Being here does remind me of how annoying undergrads are — this is, of course, a blanket statement.  Some undergrads are perfectly nice.  But some (like the ones that park illegally in our already overcrowded parking lot) are not.

WOW! Stack Trace

I just tried to order stamps from the USPS website. They never have cool stamps at the actual post office, so I thought I could get some cool ones online.

To buy stamps you have to ’sign in’ so I created a new user account. However, when I pressed the Submit button, I got one of these (actual screenshot):

I’m 13 Now

So, according to this article in the New York Times:

John Rodman, group product manager for the Xbox platform and Xbox Live, pointed to a recent Microsoft survey that revealed that nearly 40 percent of the time that Xbox 360 users spent with their consoles was for activities other than gaming. Yet when it comes to gaming, Xbox 360 users are serious, Mr. Rodman says. Six out of 10 Xbox 360 users use Xbox Live, Microsoft’s online gaming service.

“We don’t feel like the Wii customer and the Xbox customer are the same thing,” he said. “We think that as soon as the Wii customer turns 14 they want something else.”

Thanks a lot, Microsoft. So because I don’t have an XBox or XBox Elite, I’m a 13 year old?
